The Local Area
Our Location
Su Passu is located along the Strada Provinciale 44, in the Fertilia countryside, just a few kilometers from Alghero. A strategically secluded location: far from traffic and noise, yet very close to everything that matters. La Nurra, with its olive groves and cultivated fields, offers serene views that change color with the seasons.
Distances
The Beaches
The Alghero coast is among the most beautiful in Sardinia, and Su Passu is the ideal base for exploring it. Maria Pia beach, with its pine forest and white sand, is just a few minutes’ drive away. Mugoni, in the Porto Conte bay, offers crystal-clear waters in a protected natural setting. And for those who want to venture further, the coves of Capo Caccia and Punta Giglio can be reached in less than half an hour.
Culture and Archaeology
The area around Alghero is rich in historical heritage. The Anghelu Ruju Necropolis, one of Sardinia’s most important prehistoric sites, is less than 4 km away. The Palmavera Nuraghe, a nuragic complex dating back to the 15th century BC, can be reached in just a few minutes. Alghero’s Old Town, with its Catalan walls, churches, and paved alleys, deserves a long, unhurried visit.
Nature and Adventure
Neptune’s Grotto, accessible by sea or via the Escala del Cabirol staircase at Capo Caccia, is a natural wonder that alone justifies a trip to Sardinia. The Porto Conte Natural Park offers trails for hiking and mountain biking, wildlife spotting, and breathtaking coastal landscapes. For sea lovers, boat excursions along the coast are a highly recommended experience.
Dinners at Agriturismo Sa Mandra
Just 5 km from Su Passu, the Murrocu family also runs Agriturismo Sa Mandra, where the most authentic Sardinian cuisine is celebrated every evening. Appetizers, first courses, roasts, cheeses, and desserts: everything is prepared with products from the farm. Dinner is by reservation and we highly recommend it to all our guests.
